Acid Reflux: 10 Foods to Avoid

8. Citrus fruits

Citrus fruits and juices may cause acid reflux. It is not clear how, but a study done on 382 people showed that participants had heartburn after drinking orange juice. The study suggests that the acid in citrus may be what causes acid reflux. If you eat citrus fruit or drink citrus juice and experience heartburn afterward, limit your intake.
