9. Malaise

Malaise is an overall sensation or feeling of uneasiness, worry, nervousness, or discomfort without any obvious and reasonable cause. People who are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection often experience malaise during the course of being sick. It may simply start with the unfamiliar feeling that something is wrong in the body followed by an unexplained discomfort and sometimes even unidentified pain.

Although this symptom can be very uncomfortable, malaise can occasionally be beneficial to the patient as the urge to not do anything but rest may help in boosting the immune system that will give way to a faster recovery.
