10. Wheezing
Wheezing is one telling sign of upper respiratory tract infection. Wheezing sounds are often involved and seen in patients with serious respiratory illnesses such as asthma. This is due to the compression of the respiratory tracts caused by infections. The tightening of the pathways used in breathing creates a high-pitched sound that is often termed as whistling or wheezing.
Patients who are experiencing wheezing sounds when breathing are commonly having a hard time breathing in and out. If this symptom does not go away and causes a huge discomfort or if you have an existing illness or disorder, consult your medical provider immediately as it may lead to fatal complications.
