8. Sudden Hair Loss
According to studies and dermatologists, a person may normally drop 50-100 strands of hair each day. However, if you experience noticeably more hair loss than this, it can be a sign of thyroid problems. Inadequate level of thyroid hormones or hypothyroidism is known to affect the skin thus it affects the hair as well.
This condition can make the hair brittle, dry, and prone to damage. Hair loss due to hypothyroidism may also mean reduction of hair in different parts of the body such as eyebrows, hair in the pubic area, and overall body hair in arms, chest, and legs.
