7. Fever

It can take months for some patients to recover from tetanus, which is why this condition requires an adequate amount of treatment. Fever is usually a sign of an infection and your body’s defense response to stop the infection. Therefore, you will suffer from fever shortly after getting infected. The fever may be accompanied by several other accompanying symptoms, such as increased heart rate and sweating. Sometimes, the fever will go on until later stages and may be accompanied by chills all over the body and increased blood pressure. Depending on which part of your body is infected, the symptoms can be more or less severe.
