7. Headache
Again a deceptive symptom but one you can experience early on. The reason a headache can occur is because of the fact that shingles affect neuropathic pain. This leads to either a splitting headache or a dull ache in the head that seems constant. Some individuals may experience occasional shooting pain in the head as well. Another sign of shingles is the sensitivity of the eyes, especially in bright sunlight. Although, this symptom tends to appear if the shingles outbreak is occurring near the eye area so its not as common as the headache usually is.
