3. Fever
Believe it or not, unlike the other flu-like symptoms that accompany the shingles virus, fever is not one of them. There are some occasions when a rise in body temperature was reported in a patient suffering from shingles, but usually, these are very low-grade fevers. However, if a fever which is a high-grade temperature of over 102 degrees while dealing with shingles is a sign that something more serious may be going on and seeking out medical attention is advisable. Yes, those with shingles may often feel feverish while running little or no fever but this has more to do with the fact that shingles are wreaking havoc on their bodies.
