7. Worse Premenstrual Syndrome

Another sign of perimenopause is having more severe premenstrual syndrome. Premenstrual syndrome is a condition where a woman’s emotions, health, and behavior will be affected during a certain period of her menstrual cycle. This usually occurs during those days leading up to the menstrual period and is usually due to hormonal changes. It has been found that premenstrual syndrome affects almost 85% of women. Sometimes, it gets so severe that it will affect the woman’s quality of life.

Sometimes, the premenstrual syndrome will include other symptoms like bloating, abdominal pain, acne, tender breasts, diarrhea, food cravings, headaches, constipation, fatigue, irritability, depression, and anxiety. These symptoms can worsen at the perimenopause phase.
