3. Sweating

Another sign of panic attack is sweating. Sweating is a normal response of the body whenever it needs to cool down for reasons such as different strenuous physical activities, being in a hot environment, and more. However, if we are faced with mental distress, sweating may also happen. During panic attacks, our adrenal glands work harder and produce excessive amounts of sweat to equip our bodies in transitioning into a flight or fight mode.

Sweating due to panic attacks may manifest through either cold or warm perspiration. If you encounter excessive sweating, make sure to drink plenty of water as too much expulsion of liquid out of your body may lead to dehydration.
