7. Fever

Having a fever can be a sign of a more severe oral thrush infection. Fever is the body’s usual response whenever it detects an infection or a foreign element in the body that may cause harm to it. By increasing its temperature, our body secretly combats a possible threat or hazard. High temperatures can kill some bacteria or pathogens, which is why higher temperatures may mean that the body is working harder than it should.

Mild to moderate oral thrush does not usually cause fevers but this can happen to patients who have severe cases. If your oral thrush is associated with fever, consult your doctor immediately before it spreads out to other parts of your body.
