9. Osteomyelitis

Osteomyelitis is a condition where the patient will feel pain in the leg’s long bones. This is also believed to be a symptom of MRSA. This bone infection can also affect the back or arms. The MRSA-induced osteomyelitis is usually a result of the spread of a contiguous focus of infection that is often polymicrobial in nature.

Those who have osteomyelitis can experience pain in the limb and accompanied by high body temperature. With osteomyelitis, the bacteria will enter the bone through an open wound that is either due to injury or surgery. The areas surrounding the affected bones will get swollen and will feel warm and painful. The patient will also experience chills.
