8. Breathlessness

Lymphoma can affect different parts of the body. When it is present around the chest or throat area, a series of breathlessness can happen. Patients who have lymphomas in these regions often cough and experience shortness of breath.

A large vein in the body that helps in carrying blood to the arms, head, and heart called vena cava is also located along with the lymph nodes near the heart and lungs. When lymphoma is present, vena cava does not function well and results in labored breathing. It is important to prevent this from happening as it may affect a person’s consciousness.
