9. Dizziness or Shortness of Breath
People suffering from Lyme disease will sometimes find it difficult to breathe. They can experience episodes of shortness of breath and dizziness that are sometimes accompanied by cardiac problems. Sometimes, they will feel like they are about to faint. This is because the condition can result in vertigo, where patient experience a false sense that their surrounding is spinning around or moving.
Getting up slowly from a sitting position can help to prevent the feeling of dizziness. Lying down to rest can also alleviate the feeling. This symptom should go away after some time. However, if the patient suffers from frequent and continuous lightheadedness, he/she may require medical attention.
