10. General Inflammation
Sometimes, people who develop Lyme disease will have inflammation all over the body, although this is usually a rare occurrence. But when this happens, the infection will affect various parts of the body, from the joints to the eyes.
There are rare cases of patients with Lyme disease who will develop liver inflammation or hepatitis. This symptom can appear after weeks, months, or years of getting bitten by the deer tick. Meningitis, a serious condition that is a result of the inflammation of the brain membrane, can also happen in some patients with Lyme disease, although this is extremely rare.
