7. Bruising
Another sign of leukemia is bruising easily. Leukemia causes overproduction of white blood cells or anemia and having a very low level of platelets or a medical condition called thrombocytopenia. Platelets are responsible for maintaining proper blood clots in the body, low platelet count means quick bruising can be observed even with simple bumping on a certain area and a prolonged period of bleeding during an injury.
Aside from these, people who have a large number of white blood cells and no adequate platelet count may encounter sudden bleeding on the nasal cavity and gums. If you bruise easily or experience unexplainable bleeding, a check-up with your doctor is highly recommended to prevent the spread of a possible serious health issue.
