4. Night Sweats
Night sweats is also one of the signs and symptoms of leukemia. Occasional sweating throughout the day is normal and should not cause any distress. Sweating is often due to warm temperature, strenuous physical activities, and some mild medical conditions. However, if the sweating is persistent, especially during night time, it may be an indication that something is wrong in the body.
Excessive night sweat is a non-specific symptom of leukemia. It is common among sufferers of cancer such as lymphoma or leukemia and is usually accompanied by high fever. Patients describe night sweat as having unreasonable amounts of sweat that usually soaks pillows and bed linens. Consult your general practitioner if you have unnecessary sweating especially at night.
