5. Diaphoresis
Another common heart attack sign is diaphoresis. Someone who is experiencing a heart attack may also display ample sweating, a medical condition called diaphoresis. Diaphoresis is compulsive sweating that happens in the course of irregular and stressful physical or mental situations. During a heart attack, diaphoresis occurs due to the lack of oxygen-rich blood in the arteries that triggers the sympathetic nervous system.
There are other minor conditions that cause diaphoresis such as menopause, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, obesity, withdrawals to drugs or alcohol, and a lot more. It is crucial to seek a medical professional’s advice to determine if the diaphoresis may be caused by a heart attack.
