2. Pain in the Arms, Neck, Jaw, or Back
Another telling sign of heart attack in women is pain in the arms. Though most experience chest pain when having a heart attack, some can also feel pain on the other parts of the body surrounding the chest such as the neck, back, and even on the arms. Older people and women are more vulnerable to this symptom than younger ones and men.
In more severe cases, the pain spreads out from the arms to the wrists and eventually, one will feel a pinching pain in the fingers as well. As the heart is located more on the left side, this symptom is commonly felt on the left arm. However, pain on the right arm is also possible.
