3. Eye Pain
One obvious sign of glaucoma is eye pain. Eye pain is a symptom of another type of glaucoma known as angle-closure glaucoma, which progresses faster than open-angle glaucoma and other types of glaucoma. Sometimes, this condition will present sudden symptoms. If a patient has angle-closure glaucoma, one of the most common symptoms that will manifest is eye pain. The severity of the pain will depend on certain factors.
Some patients with angle-closure glaucoma will only feel minor pain in the eye and this may be because of the fact that they have a higher tolerance to pain. In some cases, the pressure io the eye has not yet progressed to an extreme level, so the pain is only mild.
