2. Tunnel Vision

Tunnel vision is one symptom of glaucoma. Open-angle glaucoma can trigger gradual loss of vision that will start with peripheral vision or at the edges of the patient’s field of vision.  This type of glaucoma can also affect both eyes.

Once a person loses his or her peripheral vision, every image that they view will shrink towards the middle. Eye experts have referred to this condition as the “tunnel vision”. In most cases, tunnel vision will only develop at the later stages in patients with open-angle glaucoma. This is because it will usually take a long time for the loss of vision to develop this far.
