9. Nausea and Vomiting

Nausea or the feeling of needing to vomit is one of the common symptoms of fifth disease. Erythema infectiosum may also cause a patient to expel components of the stomach or most commonly known as vomiting, throwing up, or puking. These symptoms may not cause significant pain to the patient but may prompt a lot of discomfort and stress.

Nausea is a non-specific signal of the fifth disease as there are other conditions that can trigger nausea and vomiting, such as pregnancy, motion sickness, infection, hyperphagia, and more. If you have an unknown cause of nausea, it is best to consult your physician for a proper diagnosis.
