10. Hematemesis
The excretion of blood in the body is mostly caused by a disruption in the body’s normal and regular functions. In particular, vomiting of blood, which is medically known as hematemesis, is a serious, alarming, and frightening symptom. It can be characterized by presence of blood especially when coughing. Hematemesis is one of the warning signs of esophageal cancer.
Hematemesis is a medical emergency. It can be fatal if not treated immediately. Most illnesses that result from hematemesis are serious and can be severe such as acute ulcers, tearing of the esophagus’ lining due to constant vomiting, getting exposed to high radiations, hemorrhagic fever, intestinal infections, and esophageal cancer.
