10. Kidney Failure
On of the more serious symptoms of C. diff infection is kidney failure. Our kidneys are vital organs in our body. It acts as filters of liquids inside our bodies. Kidneys help in eliminating toxins and other harmful substances in the form of urination. Having an impaired kidney is detrimental to the total health of a person as advanced cases of kidney failure may result in death.
C. diff is one of the causes of kidney diseases and proper treatment is required as soon as possible to avoid kidney transplants or the need for dialysis. If you are experiencing difficulty in urinating, lower back pain, and other kidney failure signs, check with your doctor if you have an existing C. diff or other underlying medical problems.
