8. Sensitivity to Stimuli
We are bombarded with information about our surroundings every second of the day. Sights, sounds, and smells are some of the information that our body receives, indicating the things that are going on around us. One other chronic fatigue symptom is having sensitivity to stimuli.
For those who are suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, sounds, bright lights, and smells are unbearable for them. Thus, they are easily irritated and can even feel pain for things that seem harmless to most people. This is why you will usually find them laying down quietly in a dark room, away from the public, until their sensitivity subsides.
