8. Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is also a chlamydia symptom. Once the bacteria get into contact with the patient’s eyes, the eyes will get infected as well. It will begin to show minor redness that will eventually evolve into burning discomfort, sometimes with liquid discharge.

There are many ways in which chlamydia can cause conjunctivitis. For instance, if you keep rub your eyes with your finger which carries the bacteria, it can lead to conjunctivitis. Another situation where chlamydia can cause conjunctivitis is when you wipe your eyes with an infected towel. This can lead to eye irritation similar to conjunctivitis. Even though conjunctivitis is not that serious, there are a few cases where it has led to blindness.
