The presence of blood in urine is also a bladder cancer symptom. The normal color of urine may range from clear to slightly yellow depending on the amount of liquid consumed and the health of the kidneys and bladder. When a presence of blood in urine is observed regardless if it is painful or not, it’s an obvious indication that something is wrong in the urinary system. This condition is medically known as hematuria.

People with bladder cancer encounter hematuria especially if other infections have developed as well. Blood in the urine can sometimes be observed by the naked eye; however, in some situations, hematuria can be diagnosed by doing a microscopic examination of the urine sample.
