10. Withdrawal from Social Activities
Those with Alzheimer’s will also find themselves slowly withdrawing from performing regular activities. They will participate in these activities but will not initiate. When attending parties and other events, they tend to leave immediately. It is common for them to avoid holiday gatherings, reunions, or any event that will require them to socialize with people.
When attending parties and other social events, they will most likely wander off alone or sit in one corner. You cannot expect them to initiate a conversation with others, even with people they know. Sometimes, they will make excuses to avoid seeing others because they would rather stay home instead of socializing.
