4. Diarrhea

Diarrhea can also be a sign and symptom of acute pancreatitis. Having a loose bowel movement or diarrhea is an ordinary incident or temporary disruption in our bodily functions. It can be a result of eating extremely spicy food, consuming contaminated drinks, and mild to serious digestive problems. Some diarrhea can be caused by severe health conditions which should not be neglected such as acute pancreatitis.

Diarrhea happens when the food travels through the digestive tracts faster than it normally would resulting in soft or watery stools. It is important to remember that though diarrhea may look like it does not need urgent medical attention, leaving it untreated can lead to dehydration and in rare cases, death.
