7. Sinus Infections

Another indirect cause of having a nosebleed is a sinus infection. This medical condition that is most commonly known as sinusitis is characterized by different and multiple unpleasant signs and indicators caused by the presence of bacteria, viruses, and allergen in the nasal pathway.

Like allergies, sinusitis does not directly cause someone’s nose to bleed; however, the uncomfortable symptoms it brings such as runny and itchy nose may push the patient to unawarely damage the soft tissues in the nose. If you are suffering from a sinus infection, keep in mind that the temporary relief caused by scratching or blowing the nose may lead to bleeding.
