6. Allergy Medications
Another symptom that is connected to allergies and dryness is consuming allergy medications or what is usually referred to as antihistamines. This medical drug in particular may cause dryness depending on how the patient’s body reacts to it. Taking in antihistamine may lead to dehydration of the mucus membrane in the body including the one located in the nose or medically known as nasal mucosa.
Although nosebleeds due to a dry mucus membrane do not cause any pain to the patient, discomfort and uneasiness can be felt. Sitting upright and slightly forward for a couple of minutes may help in stopping the bleeding.
