There are various reasons and factors for gastrointestinal infections, such as viral, bacterial, or even the presence of parasites that affects both the upper and lower intestines. One of the most common reasons is stomach bugs or medically known as gastroenteritis. It can be transferred from person to person and can also be acquired by eating or drinking tainted food.

Gastroenteritis can display signs such as loose stools, stomach pain, and on more serious occasions, blood in the stool. If no appropriate treatment is received, gastroenteritis can cause high body temperature, nausea, migraine, and vomiting. If more complications are noticed, consult your physician immediately.
