9. Pale Skin

Like red spots, another symptom of sepsis which manifests superficially is having very pale skin. The color of our skin is affected not just by pigments but by the health and color of the blood that runs underneath it as well. Infected blood may appear lighter than it should be which is deep red in color.

Infected blood with less hemoglobin may affect the shade of the skin making it look lighter than normal. Though this symptom is rather hard to detect most of the time, if you encounter it along with other common symptoms of a blood infection, the condition shall be treated seriously.
