10. Nightshades
Nightshades or Solanaceae are types of flowering plants that include vegetables we can usually see in the kitchen. Some examples are tomatoes, bell peppers, potatoes, and chilli peppers. As harmless as they may seem, these vegetables along with other plants included in this family may trigger autoimmune disease in certain groups of people.
It is because of chemicals such as capsaicin and saponin that are present in them. These chemicals if consumed in huge amounts may trigger not just autoimmune diseases but some other illnesses such as digestive issues and nausea.
