9. Discharge
One of the first signs of urinary tract infection is an abnormal discharge. The discharge is different from normal urethral discharge, in terms of odor, texture, and appearance. Abnormal discharge is a symptom of urinary tract infection and the symptom can appear in both men and women.
When the infection is treated and the patient has fully recovered, the discharge is unlikely to persist. However, in cases where the abnormal discharge persists, the patient should get tested in order to rule out other conditions. The abnormal discharge can also be a sign of sexually transmitted disease or yeast infections.
