8. Vomiting
There are cases when patients with urinary tract infection will end up vomiting, especially if their nausea has become so severe. If vomiting persists despite treatment, this can be a cause for concern. This can mean that the infection has gotten so severe that it will require immediate medication for a full recovery.
In most cases, vomiting can be prevented. When you start feeling nauseated, drink a small amount of clear and sweetened liquid, such as fruit juice. Just make sure to avoid anything too acidic as this can exacerbate the UTI. Resting in a sitting or lying position may also help to prevent vomiting when you feel nauseated.
