6. Fever
Fever is another common sign and symptom of Urinary tract infection. Once the upper urinary tract is infected, the patient will start to develop chills and fever. However, since fever is a pretty generic symptom, a lot of patients will assume that the symptom is of something else. This can also interfere with the diagnosis.
If the patient experiences fever and chills along with the other common symptoms of UTI, it is important that they inform their doctor about this. As with any condition, clear and honest communication with your doctor is important in order to arrive with proper diagnosis and an effective plan for treatment.
