7. Increased Stress

One of the most apparent signs of prediabetes is noticing increased stress.  There is no question that stress brings a lot of negative effects to the body including physical and mental ones. If you are constantly being stressed out at work or at home, know that you are most likely to be at risk of developing diabetes.

Stress can result in a sudden increase in blood sugar in the body due to the hormones it releases known as cortisol. When you are stressed and your sugar level spikes up, it remains circulating in your body without being developed into energy.
