4. Changed Taste
A common oral thrush symptom is a change of taste. Aside from the nutrients and vitamins that we get from eating different types of food and drinks, we also often eat a particular meal because of its taste. Our taste buds help us identify which foods we like based on its sweetness, sourness, bitterness, and saltiness. This makes consuming food or drinks more fun and enjoyable.
But people who suffer from oral thrush may experience a change or lack of taste. Patients may lose one particular taste or all of it at the same time. If you experience this symptom, be mindful of the food you eat as taste often tells you which foods are spoilt and which are fresh.
