8. Necrotizing Fasciitis
Another symptom of MRSA is Necrotizing fasciitis. Although it is a rare occurrence, it is a common sign of MRSA. This condition is also known as flesh-eating bacteria and tends to destroy the skin tissues of your skin, a process that they call as necrosis. It will grow just under the skin and can also affect the organs and muscles of the body.
Aside from the lesions and some flu-like symptoms, the individual can also suffer from intense pain that is seemingly out of proportion to the growth of the lesions which will have a wood-like texture. The affected areas will turn red or purple once it advances and will get painful and swollen. 1 of every 3 cases of this infection is fatal and those who have other health conditions are most susceptible.
