At the early stage, purpura fulminans will look like harmless purple rashes that will not turn white when put under pressure. These lesions will start as red or purple, but later on, it will become bluish-black, which indicates the death of skin tissues. Purpura fulminans can get very painful and will get darker and blistered once the tissue dies.
