5. Impetigo
Another skin infection which is an obvious sign of MRSA is Impetigo. This skin infection is more common in kids and infants and will appear as red sores on the face, usually around the mouth and nose area. It can also grow in the feet and hands. It is highly contagious.
Impetigo can develop into oozing and weeping sores or blisters that are usually itchy and easy to pop. It will appear crusty once the blisters have popped. At first, impetigo will not be obvious and will usually start to develop at the legs, arms, lips, and face, before spreading to the other areas of the body. This condition can also affect the lymph nodes that are close to the affected area.
