9. Headaches
As the leukemia advances, there is a very high chance of it reaching the brain or the spine. The usual initial sign that leukemia is progressing would be a persistent headache. This nonspecific sign is crucial to preventing the spread of the disease. However, it is also often overlooked and mistaken for migraines and other common conditions.
If not treated immediately, further complications may develop such as nausea, vomiting, convulsions, impaired sight, numbness of the face, and may cause the patient to be unconscious. It is important to note that normal headaches usually go away after some medication, if you experience prolonged and persistent headaches, check your doctor for possible leukemia.
