8. Abdominal Discomfort

Abdominal discomfort can also be a sign of leukemia. In more advanced cases of leukemia, like any other cancer, it may affect other organs or parts of the body and cause further complications or negative effects. The two parts that are most commonly affected would be the spleen and liver.

The spleen is part of our lymphatic system and congestion of white blood cells in the lymph nodes causes it to be enlarged, a condition called splenomegaly. This, along with enlargement of the liver may result in compression of the abdomen causing distress to the patient. There are also cases wherein discomfort isn’t the only thing that is felt in the abdominal area but mild to extreme pain as well.
