7. Varying Symptoms
Just like any other disease, the symptoms that manifest in a patient can differ from one person to another. The symptoms of burning mouth syndrome, in particular, vary in each and every case. Some may encounter only discomfort or mild signs while others may complain of intense pain.
There are some patients who reported numbness of the mouth and others have complained of a scalding sensation. The most common clue of a BMS is a symptom that is persistent and may last for a long period of time. If you are experiencing a change in your body regardless of whether it is painful, always consult your doctor if something is wrong in your system.
