3. Difficulty Urinating
Having difficulty urinating is also a sign and symptom of bladder cancer. As the opposite of frequent urination, some patients may also encounter difficulty in urinating. It is a non-specific symptom that should not be neglected as urinating should not cause any discomfort at all. This particular symptom is a result of the growth of cancer cells or tumors in the bladder that usually blocks the passageway of urine.
The level of difficulty depends on the size of the tumor that is present. Detection of the underlying condition for this symptom usually includes laboratory tests such as urinalysis and renal or bladder ultrasound. If left untreated, it may lead to total incapability to urinate.
