9. Numbness and Tingling
Numbness and tingling of the limbs mostly characterized by having pins and needles sensation in the arms, legs, feet, and hands is another typical symptom of an autoimmune disease. Some autoimmune diseases pose this symptom more obviously than others.
Multiple sclerosis in particular is an autoimmune disease that displays numbness of the limbs more frequently. It is a severe type of autoimmune disease that can be considered lethal. When multiple sclerosis is present in the body, it attacks the lining of the nervous system and destroys the cells in the nervous system, which causes the tingling sensations and occasional pain.
