8. Shortness of Breath
The transportation of oxygen throughout your body is assisted by your hemoglobin. Low hemoglobin levels mean low oxygen levels. Your muscles may not be provided with enough energy to perform regular activities including walking. As your body attempts to get additional oxygen, there is an increase in your breathing rate. This is the reason one of the most common anemia symptoms is shortness of breath. If you consistently lose your breath while performing simple, daily chores that were easy in the past, it may be because you have anemia. This includes working out and climbing stairs.
