Keep your portions small


The rule of thumb is to have a much smaller portion then you will usually have before you are diabetic. Avoid items that are oversized, deluxe, super-sized. Bigger servings mean added calories, saturated fat, and salt. Instead go with a regular or junior-sized meal. This will enable you to have the hearty and comfort meal you yearn and yet have you feel that you are destroying your body.
