Ginger


Ginger is a medicinal herb used widely in asian cultures. It is commonly used to treat ailments relating to the stomach such as nausea and indigestion. Recent studies saw potential in reversing type 2 diabetes with long term regular consumption of ginger. It was found that ginger has properties to eliminating the need for insulin in the absorption of glucose into body cells thereby controlling blood sugars levels in type 2 diabetics. Ginger can also activate insulin secretion facilitaing the release of glucose into the body cells.

Further studies also suggest that daily consumption of ginger may raise immunity against cataract, a common complication developed by diabetics.

Tip: Use ginger as a spice in cooking or have it as a tea daily.
