Aloe vera

An ancient medicinal plant, aloe has been known for its healing of superficial wounds such as abrasions, burns and even pimples. Therefore, the herb is beneficial to diabetes patients suffering from complications of leg wounds and ulcers as their self-recovery rate is generally weaker. However, what is less known of the plant is its ability to reduce blood lipids or fats in patients with type 2 diabetics hence normalizing blood sugar levels.

Tip: Take a glass of aloe vera juice daily. Make sure to blend in parts of the green skin as the juice of the plant's skin contains the beneficial healing compounds.
